Cookie Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

This policy explains how www.sweeneygroup.ie uses cookies and similar technologies. The website is operated by Sweeney's Fine Foods Limited, trading as The Sweeney Group (CRO 506664), Unit 1 & 2, Corballis Shopping Centre, Ratoath, Co. Meath, A85 DY09. Read it together with our Privacy Policy.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They let the site work properly, remember your choices and, with your permission, help us understand how the site is used.

Under the European Communities (Electronic Communications Networks and Services) (Privacy and Electronic Communications) Regulations 2011, we only place cookies that are not strictly necessary if you agree to them.

2. The cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary (Squarespace): these let us deliver the site securely, protect forms against fraud and remember your cookie choices. No consent is needed, because the site cannot work without them.

  • Security (Google reCAPTCHA): this checks that order forms are filled in by a person, not an automated program, on pages with order forms. No consent is needed, because it keeps the forms secure.

  • Analytics and performance (Squarespace): these tell us how many people visit, which pages they view and how they found the site. They are only set if you accept them.

We do not use advertising or marketing cookies, and we do not use cookies to track you across other websites.

For the full list of individual cookie names, purposes and durations, see the cookies Squarespace uses and the Google Privacy Policy.

3. Your choices

When you first visit the site, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing other than strictly necessary cookies is set until you choose.

You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie Preferences link at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site, including the order forms, may not work.

4. Links to other websites

Our Instagram and Facebook pages and the Centra website set their own cookies. Those sites have their own cookie and privacy policies.

5. Changes and contact

We will update this policy if the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
